Edelweiss

Edelweiss, symbol of the Alps, grows at altitudes of around 1,800 to 3,000 metres. Edelweiss extract contains tannins and flavonoids. Tannins waterproof the skin's external layers and protect them from pollutants, such as cigarette smoke, as well as the harmful effects of the sun. They help the regeneration of tissues and also have anti-bacteriological, antiseptic and antifungal properties. Tannins are also knows as free radical scavengers. Flavonoids have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties. They soothe and soften the skin.

Edelweiss extract's moisture retention, powerful anti-oxidant and UV absorbing properties, along with its anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial qualities, have made it a sought-after ingredient in superior skin care products.
